Theatre
In 1971, after having received an MA in theatre from UNL, I moved to New York City to pursue careers in both theatre and illustration. I was successful finding work as a theatre director, comic book artist and writer working for Marvel and co-authoring a stage version of Dracula that ran Off-Broadway for two years.
In the late 1980s I was asked to return to Lincoln as Artistic Director of the University of Nebraska’s professional summer theatre program, Nebraska Repertory. I did this from 1987 through 1992.
In 2001, I had the opportunity to found a Shakespeare Festival in Lincoln, and for the next fifteen years ran Flatwater Shakespeare.
